SBB FFS and INTECH-ICS AG (partner company of Serrurerie du Léman Sàrl) have been working for years on new locker installations for customers. The latest locker installation is now at Fribourg station.
Customers can deposit their luggage - both large and small bags - centrally at the station (in the subway). The lockers are controlled centrally via a pay station.
The service point accepts the most common CHF coins and credit cards. A great advantage is that the lockers work without a key. A receipt is issued with a QR code that allows the selected locker to be reopened.
If a ticket is lost, it is not necessary to change the lock, but SBB employees can print out a duplicate for a fee, so that the customer can retrieve his or her luggage.
